Keeping Kids Connected
Welcome to Hope Family Cottage
Hope Family Cottage is a privately owned and operated
Children's Contact Centre located in Wyong on the Central Coast of NSW
- a special place where children, parents and extended family members
can safely spend family time together under professional supervision.
Keeping children safety connected with their parents following family separation/breakdown
whilst reducing conflict between parents, carers and family members is our aim.
The safety and wellbeing of children is at the heart of everything we do.
We provide safe & friendly Children's Supervised Contact Services from our own purpose specific Contact Centre in Wyong on the Central Coast of NSW. We also provide supervised contact visits within the local community in public places as well as in client homes (when safe to do so of course).
Our Facilitated Change Overs help to ensure a positive, conflict free experience for children (and adults) as they move from one parent/carer to the other before and after Supervised Contact visits.
Avoid the stress and expense of going to Court by attending Family Dispute Resolution instead. We can help you put together a Parenting Plan for the future care and living arrangements of your child/children which you can then easily have made into Court Orders by Consent.
Family Group Conferencing empowers families to find solutions that work for them. We help families to make plans regarding the future care and living arrangements for vulnerable family member(s) when they are unable to make these decisions for themselves.
Everyone needs a little help and support sometimes, and often an independent person is best to provide this. Our experienced Counsellors & Life Coaches can help you to understand and navigate your way through any life challenges you may be experiencing, including parenting, separation and divorce, as well as rebuilding your life afterwards.
Our friendly, qualified and experienced staff are committed to keeping families connected following separation/breakdown and strengthening family relationships. We understand complex and difficult family situations and are here to help and support you and your child/children.
Find lots of relevant and interesting information here, such as helpful contact numbers, research findings, self help books, podcasts and more!
We are upfront about our fees so there are no surprises. Refer to the information brochures available for download on each of our service pages for pricing of our various services.
Children are at the heart of everything we do.
As a child safe organisation, we are committed to child safety.
This is demonstrated in our leadership, in the way our organisation is managed and in all of our day-to-day activities.
A child safe organisational culture drives how we work, how we manage safety risks and concerns. We adhere to the Office of the Children's Guardian (NSW) Child Safe Standards, which are as follows;
🌻 Child safety is embedded in our organisation's leadership, governance and culture;
🌻 Children participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously;
🌻 Families and communities are informed and involved;
🌻 Equity is upheld and diverse needs are taken into account;
🌻 People working with children are suitable and supported;
🌻 Processes to respond to complaints of child abuse (or other concerns) are child-focused;
🌻 Staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills and awareness to keep children safe through continual education and training;
🌻 Physical and online environments minimise the opportunity for abuse or other kinds of harm to occur;
🌻 Implementation of the Child Safe Standards is continuously reviewed and improved;
🌻 Policies and procedures document how our organisation is child safe.
Depression is a major consequence of family separation for both adults and children, and a major risk factor for suicide, especially amongst men.
More awareness and support is needed for Dads, Mums and Kids.
The Iris Foundation is a registered charity which delivers suicide awareness campaigns within the community, as well as resilience programs within primary schools for children as young as 9 years of age.
Your support will help the Iris Foundation to provide ongoing suicide awareness & education through the delivery of prevention programs which promote mental health and resilience for adults and children.
Your donation is 100% tax deductible.
Fostering Hope, Resilience & Connection as a means to reduce the risk of suicide.
Hope Family Cottage is proud to support the important work of the Iris Foundation.
